Perhaps the most important component would be how scarily accurate the sleepers were for week seven. Houston Texans running back Arian Foster may disargee, but we know better.

John Beck (Was @ Buf)  The indictment falls on Buffalo's 30th ranked pass defense, giving up 284.8 yards/game coupled with the fact that the Redskins will probably be playing from behind in this contest.

Andy Dalton (Cin @ Sea)  The rookie QB from TCU has began to develop focus against the elite defenses. Seattle ranks 20th (250 pass ypg).

Joe Flacco (Bal vs Ari)  The entire Raven offense needs redemption after the product they left on the field on Monday night. Arizona's 28th rated pass defense should serve as an anecdote.

RB

Knowshon Moreno (Den vs Det)  The Lions are giving up 129.4 rushing yards per game, which is 29th of 32 NFL teams.

Daniel Thomas (Mia @ NY Giants)  At 0-6, the Dolphins are a rather desperate opponent, not to mention the Giants may be on upset alert as they possess one of the worst defenses in the league versus the run (27th).

Delone Carter (Ind @ Ten)  The Syracuse alumnus should be a solid sleeper against the 24th ranked run defense if your RB is on bye this week.

Greg Little (Cle @ SF)  Although the 'Niners defense has a tough reputation with the second-best defensive unit against the run, their pass D - not so much, 22nd rated as of week eight.

Nate Washington (Ten vs Ind)  The Colts have given up 95 first downs by way of the pass. This shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

Doug Baldwin (Sea vs Cin)  Baldwin is emerging as one of the most talented rookie wide receivers, leading the Seahawks in receiving. Playing against the 4th-ranked pass defense, Baldwin should be a descent number two WR, lining up with teammate Sidney Rice, in week eight.

Aaron Hernandez (NE @ Pit)  Even though Pittsburgh has the third-ranked pass defense, New England seems to have figured out how to exploit the run-stopping linebackers in pass coverage by saturating the middle of the field with pass-catching tight ends.

Greg Olsen (Car vs Min)  The Vikings are giving up 296 receiving yards per game, which is 30th. If they double Steve Smith, Olsen should get a few red zone looks.

Brandon Pettigrew (Det @ Den)  With the primary focus on Megatron, Pettigrew should pay dividends against the 19th-ranked receiving defense in the NFL this week.

With Brandon Jacobs sidelined with a knee injury, his partner in the backfield, Ahmad Bradshaw, saw all of the goaline touches for the Giants during their 27-24 victory over the Buffalo Bills Sunday. Three one-yard scores and 104 rushing yards put the Marshall alumnus over the top for week seven. The Giants go into the bye week with a 4-2 record, which is good enough for first place in the NFC East. They host Miami (0-6) on October 30.

Colt McCoy (Cle vs Sea)  The Seahawk defense ranks around the middle of the league (18th), however, with Peyton Hillis hobbled with a hamstring injury, the offense falls on McCoy's shoulders at home.

Christian Ponder (Min vs GB)  If anything, the Vikings should be playing from behind for the majority of the game.

Curtis Painter (Ind @ NO)  The Saints' secondary has given up five passing plays over 40 yards. Plus the Colts are rushing for only 84 yards per game.

Daniel Thomas (Mia vs Den)  Denver is yielding the eighth most rushing yards per game (123.4) in the NFL, coupled with the fact that Matt Moore is the Fins' QB.
DeMarco Murray (Dal vs StL)  The Rams are currently allowing 161.8 rushing yards/game, the NFL's worst.
Ryan Torain (Was @ Car)  The only team giving up more rushing yards per game than the Panthers are the St. Louis Rams (140.3). Torain should benefit.

Brandon Lloyd (StL @ Dal)  With the Rams being 0-6, desperate, and Dallas having the stingiest rush defense in the NFL, the newly acquired Lloyd should have a decent day, at worst, no matter who the quarterback is.
Jacoby Jones (Hou @ Ten)  Tennessee has a top ten defense against receivers, but with Andre Johnson out yet another game, Jones should be a solid sleeper for week seven.
Darrius Heyward-Bey (Oak vs KC)  The Chiefs are giving up around 255 receiving yards per contest. And don't forget, Pro Bowl safety Eric Berry is out for the season.

Brandon Pettigrew (Det vs Atl)  Atlanta's defense against receiving is the fifth worst that the NFL has to offer. Pettigrew should get a few red zone looks.
Ed Dickson (Bal @ Jac)  Although the Jags possess the seventh best defense against the air attack, the middle of the field should be open often with their cornerbacks occupied with Boldin and Smith.
Fred Davis (Was @ Car)  Regardless of which defense is on the field, it's time to take the training wheels off. Davis is currently leading Washington in receiving with 343 and second in receptions with 22.

Eli Manning (NYG vs Buf)  Buffalo's arena style of play (defense 283.4 pass ypg) fits perfectly into Eli's game plan - to play catch up.

James Starks (StL @ GB)  The winless Rams and their matador-like run defense are yielding a league-worst 179.8 yards on the ground.
Tim Hightower (Was vs Phi)  Marshall Faulk said it best, describing the Eagles defense as a 'collection of talent', as opposed to a unit, giving up 140.2 rushing yards per game (30th).
Cedric Benson (Cin vs Ind)  The Colts' defense is 31st in the league against the run, averaging 145.2 yards and a league-high 45 rushing first downs per contest.

Victor Cruz (NYG vs Buf)  Buffalo's defense has given up 74 first downs to pass plays this season.
Mike Sims-Walker (StL @ GB)  318.6 is a lot of passing yards to give up per game, which is 31st in the NFL. Sims-Walker should benefit.
Roy Williams (Chi vs Min) The Vikings secondary is the ultimate remedy to an anemic passing game (294 rec. ypg - 26th).

There is no question about which college football conference is the most dominant. The last five champions with the last two consecutive from the same state should be an illuminating indicator of the level of superiority. Yet many hold fast to the concept that there is no dominant conference due to most 'power conferences' being top heavy only.

The most successful team this past decade would be the University of Florida without question. Winning two BCS National Championships in three seasons, (three overall) with eight well-earned conference championships against the most prolific breed of athleticism in the nation, the Gators secure a place in the Supremely Epic Conference, or SEC.

FLORIDA STATE SEMINOLES

Beginning with the absorption of  the Tallahassee Female Academy and growing into a program that would finish ranked top five in the nation for 14 straight years with two national titles, the Seminoles definitely qualify as a worthy contender.

Boise State Broncos

The primary argument of the Bronco fan base is that it doesn't get proper respect when beating a team from a traditional school or one from a BCS conference. "No one will ever give us a chance." With scoring victories over literally everyone who takes the field, losing a total of only five games the last five seasons (including bowl games), Boise State, your chance is here.

Ohio State Buckeyes

The buckeyes have been to the national championship game three times since 2002, winning the '02 contest over Miami (FL) in an overtime thriller. OSU has also won the title six times before. Year after year, the Buckeye defense remains at a world-class level, as well.

Miami Hurricanes

With arguably the deepest talent hub in the country the last twenty years, the Miami Hurricanes have won five titles, including the latest awarded in 2001. The 'U' competes on a weekly basis with the best the NCAA's top level has to offer, and therefore deserves a probationary invitation to the SEC.

Nebraska Cornhuskers

Nebraska has won more than 70 percent of its games in the 118 years of existence. One of the country's best traveling fan bases, five national titles (two back-to-back), and 43 conference titles with 24 bowl victories qualify as a team worthy of the sixth and final spot in the (division name not important) division of the SEC.

Louisiana State University Tigers

The 'bengaled tigers form Baton Rouge' simply play on a championship level, winning two of the previous seven BCS titles. LSU will be tested again in week one of the 2011 season as they take the field against the sore and angry Oregon Ducks.

Oklahoma Sooners

Oklahoma has dominated college football, appearing in a BCS bowl game nine of the last ten years - three of those games being for the national championship. This alone is indicative of elite status.

Alabama Crimson Tide

The Tide is noted for collecting 13 national titles, the most of any other school, with the latest coming in 2009 in the Rose Bowl, and 22 Southeastern Conference titles. We could go on about Alabama, but let us conclude by saying year five for head coach Nick Saban should be eventful, since losing the starting quarterback, running back, wide receiver, offensive lineman, defensive lineman, and the most accurate kicker in the nation for 2010.

Texas Longhorns

Texas has appeared in the BCS title game twice in the last five seasons. They have also succeeded with victories in every other bowl game since 2004. The Longhorns are the second most successful program in FBS (formerly Division-I) history, winning better than 70 percent of their games.

Auburn Tigers

The defending national champion Tigers have also won eleven conference titles while ranking 5th overall in winning percentage in bowl games. After all, John Heisman himself played for the navy blue and burnt orange yelling, "War Eagle...Hey!"

Virginia Tech Hokies

     In short, V-Tech just wins. They have won 10+ games seven consecutive years, currently the longest in the nation. They also have appeared in 17 straight bowl games during the 23 years Frank Beamer has been head coach. The Hokies have also won the ACC four times since joining in 2004. 'Beamer ball' is a way of life.

N. F. L. --Nasty Fight Looms........

No matter whose side you take in the NFL's labor war, one thing is for certain, we all may be in for a very huge disappointment. If you have been under a rock, and would like to follow the latest story lines in pro football, you may have to visit a District Court in Minnesota, that or follow Ocho Cinco on twitter (he may be more popular without playing football, than when actually playing). It seems that both sides have dug in their heels, with no end in sight. June 3rd is the next major court date, with a decision coming in the days after. I won't bore you with the details, but lets just say that even that date does little to attain the supposed goal of both sides, which is to play football. I even heard today about the possibility of thousands of individual lawsuits against the NFL (as each individual player has a contract with his employer). Where is this headed????? I understand leverage as much as anyone, but at some point, the wealthy & the rich, must come to their senses & realize that the GAME that has given them the ability to fight over 9 billion dollars, is in serious jeopardy. I tend to side with the players (as I never understood the concept of accepting less of a previously agreed upon percentage based on your business partners' word that they are struggling to feed their children...Open the Books!), but even the rhetoric of the head of the organization, formerly known as the NFLPA, Demaurice Smith, is getting old, and that's being kind. So consider this my open letter to Demaurice and Roger....Look, it's really time to stop all the posturing and trying to gain support of the public, lawmakers, etc. If you really wanted the support of the public, then you wouldn't have your fans wondering when football season is going to start. Most of whom will never see a tenth of what you guys make in their lifetime, to play a GAME, that you all supposedly love so much. In the end you are banking that one side or the other will cave, and that us fans will be waiting with open arms, WHENEVER you decide to play big boy ball again. The only problem is that you should never give people a taste of what they can live without. You may find that they realize that they really don't need you at all. Oh well, there's always the NBA......Right?
